Celebrity Chef Marcos Spaziani Opens New Beverly Hills Restaurant

Barack Obama, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods. What do these three names have in common? Other than being household names in America, they have been served by the wonderful Chef Marcos Spaziani.

On September 20th, Chef Marcos Spaziani will open up his new Beverly Hills restaurant called Lou’Mar.

Chef Spaziani found his way onto the TV screen by touching the hearts of viewers of “Below Deck Sailing Yacht.” Despite only being on for one season, Chef Spaziani was loved for his hard work and dedication to being the best chef possible. Since then, he has amassed over 200,000 followers on Instagram. Speaking about this special time in his life, Chef Spaziani simply said, “It was a wonderful time for me!” with a huge grin on his face.

Alongside Chef Spaziani, Chef Loius Huh has been a longtime business partner and is opening the restaurant, Lou’Mar, with him. While never going to culinary school, Huh found his way up the ladder to be where he is at now.

Chef Spaziani and Chef Huh are no strangers to the restaurant business. Their first restaurant together was called Marlou in downtown Los Angeles which unfortunately had to shut down due to unforeseen building maintenance issues. With Lou’Mar, they have an opportunity for a fresh start.

Lou’Mar’s goal is to “bring the effervescent energy of West Hollywood and Downtown LA to Beverly Hills, crafting an unparalleled dining experience.” With Chef Louis’ ability to craft exquisite Asian fusion dishes and Chef Spaziani’s background in Spanish and Italian dishes, they hope to fuse the best of different cultures for a great tasting experience. “Lou’Mar will offer an exquisite blend of tradition and creativity, offering a global cuisine that Beverly Hills is missing. Each dish offers classic techniques and contemporary twists.”

Amongst the dishes served, favorites were soy glazed lamb chops, filet mignon, kimchi seafood paella, and cachapa.

While Lou’Mar has not publicly opened yet, they opened their door for families on September 14, 2023. Serving loved ones, Lou’Mar was able to test run what a normal, busy day would look like without too much pressure to get everything right for their first “day.”

Lou’Mar is able to host up to 34 people in their dining area. Amongst those 34 people were two crucial people who were able to get Chef Spaziani and Chef Huh the space for Lou’Mar to happen: Andy and Carlo Brandon-Gordon. Andy and Carlo are owners of Nerano, the main restaurant in the building. Because of their great relationships, Andy and Carlo opened up to the idea of Chef Spaziani and Chef Huh using an unused space upstairs of Nerano.

Speaking about Lou’Mar, Andy and Carlo Brandon-Gordon had nothing but high praises. “You guys will do great! The food tastes so awesome!”

With their grand opening coming sooner than later, Lou’Mar will be a great center for those craving fusion food to come and try. With a vibrant energy, great chefs, good vibes, and a taste of many different cultural foods, Lou’Mar hopes to break new barriers and expand its name in and out of Beverly Hills.

March 2023 Update

Insane, surreal, motivated, hungry. Those four words summarize how January 2023-right now has been like. There was a moment in my creative journey where I just stopped caring about being a creative. I didn’t take advantage of living in the LA- the hub of entertainment and the city many creators want to move to, and I even had thoughts here and there of selling my camera just to have more funds for the college life.

However, the start of 2023, I looked at myself and wasn’t happy. I wasn’t producing results, I was a bystander, I was super passive, I didn’t have any goals, and I was super demotivated and felt no purpose. That’s when I revamped my goal to have a drive and purpose and ever since then, I haven’t looked back.

It’s only been 3 months since I put my head down and worked my ass off to do whatever it took to began client work and pursue creativity outside of just my personal life. The thing about me is when I put my mind on something, I go all in and do whatever it takes to achieve it. Countless time given to coffee chats, cold DM’ing people I look up to, watching tutorials to elevate my creativity, and being consumed by my goal to make myself known in LA really has been a journey.

It’s only now about to be three months and so much has changed and so much has happened. I wonder what my story will look like by the end of this year.

I’ve learned the importance of three things: keeping Jesus at the center of it all, the importance of networking, and the importance of surrounding myself with people with vision and drive. Let’s see where 2023 takes us boys.
